Watercolor Journey - Practice, patience, presence.
Watercolor Journey is built around learning by doing. This class invites students to slow down, observe closely, and build confidence through regular practice with watercolor. Working both indoors and on location, we focus on process over perfection—developing skills, visual awareness, and a personal relationship with the medium through experimentation, reflection, and shared experience.
Information available soon about upcoming classes.
Come along on a relaxing journey with watercolor as a means to document life’s experiences and the beauty of nature and places. Watercolor is a terrific medium for painting from life, and in this class you will learn to use watercolors with an experienced instructor who has traveled throughout Europe with students, painting the world's cities. After our initial class meeting at the community center, each Saturday we will meet at a local landmark, such as Monrovia Canyon Park and the Arlington Gardens in Pasadena, to draw and paint on location. The $55 material fee due the first day of class and payable to the instructor will include high quality paints and other supplies that will provide an excellent introduction to the medium, or renewed enjoyment for those with experience. All levels are encouraged. This would be a great class for a parent and child or grandparent and grandchild to take together!
