Portfolio: Light, place, attention.
Many of these watercolors were painted on location—in museums, gardens, and while traveling—often in the quiet moments between teaching and daily life. Watercolor lets me work quickly and honestly, responding to light, weather, and place as they unfold. As an educator, I value process as much as outcome, and each painting becomes both a record of where I was and an example of learning through observation, practice, and presence.
